There’s been no sign of an earthquake at the top of this year’s Earth & Marine Sciences with the same 10 universities in the top 10 as last year. That doesn’t mean there hasn’t been some movement though. The University of Oxford has climbed from fifth to joint third, overtaking Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

34 different countries are represented in this year’s rankings, while 15 universities out of the 200 ranked didn’t feature at all last year. Of these newcomers, the highest-ranked is France’s Université Grenoble-Alpes (UGA).
