Theology, Divinity & Religious Studies is one of four subjects making a first appearance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. Harvard University takes the inaugural crown, pipping the British trio of Oxford, Durham and Cambridge.

100 universities feature in this brand new ranking, spread across 23 countries. The US and UK lead the way in terms of representation with 29 and 20 universities respectively. Germany are the next dominant with eight universities making the cut.
