Available programs

NHH offers two Bachelor programmes:

1. The Norwegian taught Bachelor in Economics & Business Administration

2. The English taught Bachelor in Business, Economics & Data Science 

Both programmes have a nominal duration of three years.

NHH presents a comprehensive selection of 10 distinctive graduate programmes, each structured with an approximate two-year study span. Among these, nine are master specializations, all conducted in English, ultimately culminating in the prestigious MSc in Economics & Business Administration (MScEBA) degree.

Distinguished from the rest, our remaining graduate study pathway fuses the MScEBA at NHH with a rigorous Master's in International Management programme available through CEMS – a Global Alliance that unites premier business schools, multinational corporations, and non-governmental organizations.


MScEBA:

The Master programme in Economics & Business Administration is a two-year programme (120 ECTS) and is structured as follows:

  • Courses - 90 ECTS (45 ECTS major courses + 45 ECTS elective courses)
  • Master thesis - 30 ECTS

MScEBA & CEMS MIM:

NHH stands as the sole business school in Norway holding the esteemed membership of CEMS, thus extending the privilege of offering the distinguished CEMS Master's in International Management (CEMS MIM) programme. This globally acclaimed curriculum consistently secures its position within the top 10 of premier Master in Management qualifications across the world, a distinction acknowledged by the Financial Times.

Upon successful completion, graduates are conferred not only with an NHH degree but also with a CEMS Master’s in International Management certificate, a testament to their achievements through the CEMS alliance.

University information

Admission to NHH's study programmes occurs annually, with the programme commencing in mid-August. The application portal for both the English-taught Bachelor (BSc) and all English-taught Master (MSc) programmes generally becomes available in November. Specific application requirements and deadlines vary according to the chosen programme and are explicitly outlined on the NHH.no website for each respective programme.

Students can explore boundless trails through breathtaking mountainous landscapes with just a 5-minute walk from the campus.

Located just a brief 10-minute bus ride north of the city centre, NHH's campus is easily accessible via five bus lines.

Student life

At NHH you will find an active student life with a wide range of activities to take part in. 

As an NHH student, you automatically become a member of NHHS, the school's student association. Participating in one or more of the association’s activities, gives you a chance to make new friends, pursue your interests and gain new experiences. 72 per cent of the students reports to be engaged in different student groups. Taking part in NHHS activities also gives you practical experiences and a way to develop your teamwork and leadership skills and test academic theories in real life.

NHHS activities range from sport clubs for football, basketball and outdoor activities, to financial and entrepreneurial groups, school newspapers, a TV channel, a photography group, a dance group and several choirs.

Two of the biggest events organised by NHHS are:

  • The cultural festival UKEN - the largest student event in the western part of Norway. For three weeks students organise stage shows, concerts and other events that attract thousands of visitors to the school.
  • The NHH Symposium - northern Europe’s largest student-run conference for the business community. Business leaders and top politicians attend the event, discussing current global issues.


To help make sure you get off to the best possible start, NHHS and NHH organise a Welcome Week at the start of your first semester. During Welcome Week there are events night and day, giving you great opportunities to get to know your fellow students, campus and the wonderful city of Bergen. All new students are placed in groups with older students as mentors/hosts.

At NHH, our connections to the business and industrial sectors are robust and intertwined. Through our extensive collaborations with both Norwegian and international companies, we ensure that your learning experience remains pertinent, current, and laser-focused on equipping you to emerge as a future business leader. Throughout the year, our students receive a constant stream of inspiration by engaging with industry representatives via guest lectures, case presentations, seminars, conferences, career fairs, and company showcases.

The tangible outcomes of an NHH education are evident in the swift and meaningful job placements our graduates secure. According to the NHH Labor Market Survey of 2022, NHH alumni swiftly secure relevant, well-compensated positions upon completing their studies. The survey highlights that businesses actively vie to recruit NHH graduates. Notably, 97 percent of those who obtained a master's degree from NHH in the spring of 2022 have already attained positions closely aligned with their studies.
