Hey, I am Akshat from India. I want to pursue Bachelors' in Industrial/Environmental engineering in an well known German University where medium of instruction is English. I want to know If it is possible for me to enroll in an German University after completing 12th from CBSE board, and then completing one successful bachelor year in my home country. Since, the DAAD website suggests that it is 'practically difficult' to enroll in an german instituion as most results of Universities are out my June/July, and most deadlines get over by then. additionally I am NOT interested to give the Feststellungspruefung exam, as I want to study in English. Please help me in this matter. What should be done in such a case?

I am just graduated at high school and would like to study applied science technology in Germany but I would like to study in English. Would you advise me which universities I can apply ? Thank you very much. And Timur

Hi Ayse, there are a limited number of programs at undergraduate level available in English, so you may need to be quite flexible with your choice of program - or consider learning German! You can find out more about studying in English in Germany here, and may like to use the DAAD's search tool to look for programs. Hope this helps!

I'm Salman. I completed my bachelor's degree in computer science in 2013 from an Indian university. I'm looking to get a Master's degree in Informatics from a German university. Can you please suggest me a good university to seek master's in computer science. Also what would be the cost of doing Master's in Germany? What are the job prospects after completing the Master's?

Hi Salman, please take a look at our rankings by subject for computer science, with the results narrowed down to show only German universities. (You can narrow the results down further to show the universities with the best reputations among employers). Tuition fees vary between universities but generally master's degrees cost at least 10,000 euros per semester. After finishing your degree, you can stay in Germany and seek work for a period of 18 months. Hope this helps!

HI , am Risham i finished my 12th from united Arab Emirates i would like to study in Germany for my both bachelor and master degree and i would like to part time job with my studies . so wt all things i should do to get a student visa and how much percentage of marks should be there to select a good university in Germany

Hi Risham, please take a look at our article on how to get a German student visa. Hi, I'm a Canadian who graduated in 2012 with a bachelors in Film and Theatre. I'm currently teaching English in Seoul. Once my contract is up in 2018, I'm looking to get my Master's in Education or Film at any University in Germany in which the tuition is free. Does my final grade point average from my University matter and are there any Universities in Germany that have free masters programs in Film?

Hi Faith, I'm afraid masters degrees in Germany aren't usually free unless you've previously studied your bachelor's degree in the country, but you may be able to find an affordable program or a scholarship - the's website has a useful search tool. You will need to have a good grade point average - universities will state what kind of grade they prefer on their website. Hope this helps!
