Ranked 12th in the QS Best Student Cities, Hong Kong (SAR) performs particularly well in the university rankings indicator and ranks in the top 30 worldwide for desirability.

Leading institutions in the city include the The University of Hong KongHong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Chinese University of Hong Kong and the City University of Hong Kong– all ranked within the global top 60, while three more Hong Kong institutions also feature in the QS World University Rankings® 2023.
