The level of competence of graduates corresponds to such positions as programmer, developer, etc. The profession responds to modern challenges, it is one of the highly paid fields and allows for remote employment both within and outside the country.

Admission Requirements

The eligibility criteria for the admission to the bachelor’s program in informatics are defined as follows: an entrant must be in possession of a document certifying the completion of full general education or its equivalent and should obtain the right to study at the European University based on the ranking coefficients of scores received at the Unified National Exams. To be enrolled in the program, a person is obliged to pass the following subjects at the Unified National Exams: a) Georgian language and literature; b) foreign language (English, Russian, German, French); c) mathematics/physics. The number of positions for each course (mathematics/physics) should not be less than 10 % of the positions announced on the program. The precise distribution of the percentage will be determined by the head of the program before the announcement of positions. Minimum competence threshold for Unified National Exams – passing the minimum threshold defined by legislation.

The right to enroll in the program without passing the Unified National Exams: a) persons who are authorized to be enrolled at the University without passing the Unified National Exams based on the Order №224/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (December 29, 2011) “On the Approval of the Procedure for Submission and Review of Documents by Entrants/Master’s Degree Candidates/Students who have the Right to Study Without Passing the Unified National Exams/Common Master’s Exams in a Higher Education Institution”. Above-mentioned applicants are required to confirm their Georgian language proficiency at B2 level, in accordance with the “Rule for Determining the Language Competence of the Student of the European University”.  The following persons can also be enrolled in the program: students enrolled in accordance with the mobility rules based on the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia №10/N (February 4, 2010) - “Rules for Transfer from the Higher Education Institution to Other Higher Education Institution and Approval of Fees”.
