Illinois Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering/Master of Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering accelerated master's program allows students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies and complete both degrees in as few as five years.
Our undergraduate aerospace engineering program explores both the design and manufacturing of aircrafts, as well as the design and flight of vehicles beyond Earth’s atmosphere. Knowledge of aerodynamics, structures and materials, propulsion systems, and flight mechanics and controls are important to this field. The graduate program in mechanical and aerospace engineering is focused on broadening student potential and enhancing technical versatility.
Students in this program will develop a high level of competence in engineering science, current technology, and engineering design for successful careers in the industry.

Students applying to the Accelerated Master’s Program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.
Students must be at least one full semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.
Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.
