The degree emphasizes building a vision from Chile and the region to contribute to the discipline. Our curriculum stands out for providing a balanced training between the field of government and international relations, as well as in the methodological, both quantitative and qualitative.


Benefits and opportunities when studying Political Science and International Relations at UAH

The Curriculum Plan has activities that bring students from the third year closer to the world of work. There they must carry out a First Professional Practice Workshop in study centers and in social and non-governmental organizations. Later they can continue doing voluntary internships in those same institutions until, in the fifth year, they carry out the Professional Practice. For all these activities, the career has contact with a large number of NGOs, public institutions and municipalities.


Students can participate as assistants in courses, in Fondecyt projects of academics, in competitions of young researchers and have the option of publishing in the journal Political Searches. The Student Center organizes Political Science Week with lectures, talks and recreational activities.


A notable milestone is the participation of students in the Model United Nations in New York and the Model United Nations in America, managed jointly by the students and the career. They also have the opportunity to study an exchange semester at one of the 125 universities in agreement with the UAH.
