More programs from the university

The Universidad Central de Venezuela offers more than 60 undergraduate study programs in areas such as engineering, medicine, social sciences, economic sciences, legal sciences, veterinary sciences, agronomy, education, philosophy, modern languages, pharmacy, dentistry, architecture, among others. In some of these undergraduate programs, students must deepen their knowledge in a particular topic derived from their area of study. The university offers discounts to students who wish to take extension courses offered by any faculty.

Thanks to our Inter-faculty Cooperation Program, students from a specific faculty or career can take courses from another faculty, which consolidates the student's integral formation, or apply to the teacher training program, which is coordinated by the School of Education.

Undergraduate students of the University who meet certain requirements may also pursue two undergraduate study plans simultaneously, obtaining both degrees.

To review the study programs offered, both distance and on campus, go to the web page www.ucv.ve/vrac.

The university has 350 graduate programs including master's degrees, specializations and doctorates in the eleven faculties that comprise it and in some specialized institutes, all of them of the highest level. Half of them are in the health area, due to the fact that the university has branches in several hospitals where postgraduate students in medicine can carry out their studies in the corresponding specialization while maintaining contact and closeness to the patient, which characterizes our graduates all over the world.

The institution has more than 40 research centers and institutes, where postgraduate studies and individualized doctorates are also carried out in the area of study chosen by the participant, who can discuss with the coordinator of the area and his or her tutor the line of research he or she wishes to follow. Likewise, there are cooperation agreements with institutes not belonging to the UCV, but which have a wide trajectory in their area, in order to allow research and postgraduate cooperation.
