Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies

Communication Studies is online, interactive, and connected. Society is amid a fundamental shift in how we communicate with each other, access information, and view popular culture. This program will explore the impact of new technologies and processes on today’s social, political, economic, and cultural landscapes. Topics include the decline of newspapers, radio, and television; the rise of Twitter, Facebook, and other social media; the impact of mobile computing; and the eternal question of ‘do we control our devices or do our devices determine who we are?’.
