Master in Public Health

The Master's Degree in Public Health provides the knowledge necessary to address issues in health promotion and disease prevention. The challenges that current health conditions impose on us require people who are capable of working with the community, who can understand social problems, who know how to face national challenges and who know how to use the globalization processes that are experienced in the current events to improve the health conditions of the populations. The public health programs currently offered do not consider these emphases in addressing health promotion and disease prevention. The Colombian health sector needs to have highly qualified professionals in these areas, to improve health in both local and departmental settings. National and international. Master's students will acquire this basic knowledge for our society.
The student will learn to study health and illness as concrete realities from the health sciences or as indirect objects of study from the social and human sciences.
