CES University, established in 1977, is a private, independent, non-profit Higher Education Institution based in Medellin, Colombia, committed to excellence focused on teaching, research, community outreach and innovation, with the purpose of contributing to the development of Society and the training of free, independent, ethical, scientific, and competent individuals in a globalized world.

We offers undergraduate and graduate programs, on the technical-professional, technological and professional levels in all areas of knowledge, with the highest human, ethical and scientific attributes in a globalized world.

The University has the accreditation of its programs by the Ministry of National Education, and was the first university in Colombia to have one of its programs accredited. It has research groups in all the areas of knowledge ranked by Colciencias. There is a highly qualified educational staff committed to institutional development and it is offered the possibility of receiving international students and faculty to pursue academic rotations and exchanges in all areas of undergraduate and graduate programs.

Our vision for 2020 defines various objectives based on 3 strategic axes: to maintain an education with a human perspective, to emphasize and promote continued education and social outreach, and to strengthen research and innovation.  Within this objectives, the University seeks to contribute to the solution of global and local problems based on the Sustainable Development Goals through joint actions with public and private Institutions in Colombia, Europe, Asia, Latin America, Canada and the United States.

In its 41 years of existence, CES University has received various recognitions, among those: accreditation as a high quality institutional, granted by the Ministry of National Education of Colombia (MEN), that has place the institution in the 8th position among the universities with master's programs, accreditation by Mercosur, the signature of the Magna Carta of Bologna.

At Merco Talent ranking in Colombia, CES University was the 9th university with the greatest capacity to attract and retain talent in Colombia.

At the national level we have some of our undergraduate programs ranking as top 20 as the best programs in the country. For example:
