Azerbaijan State University of Economics

Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) is a public university located in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Being one of the biggest higher educational institutions in the Southern Caucasus, UNEC was founded in 1930 and it is the only fully economics & business profiled university in Azerbaijan.

Being the first certified public university in the country UNEC has 8 schools with more than 18 thousand undergraduate and graduate students as well as about 1800 professors, teachers, and technical personnel. Finance, International Economics, Banking, Management, Business Administration, Accounting and etc. are the main programs offered by UNEC. UNEC’s MBA and PhD programs are the most prestigious ones in the country. MBA program’s curriculum is fully consistent with international standards formed by leading business schools. UNEC is the only Azerbaijani university which offers higher education (both in undergraduate and graduate levels) in four languages: Azerbaijani, Turkish, English, and Russian.

Graduate and undegraduate programs in Finance is accredited by CFA. Graduate and undergraduate programs in Accounting has ACCA exemption.  

UNEC offers double degree programs in partnership with Montpellier University, ICD (France), UBIS (Switzerland), Lincoln University (USA), Mikolas Romeris Universitet (Lithuania) and LSE (UK). 

UNEC is the also only Azerbaijani university who has a branch oversees, in Derbend, Russian Federation.
