The University Montpellier 1 is a publicly owned establishment in scientific, cultural and professional matter, enjoying the legal entity, of the pedagogical autonomy, scientific, administrative and financial. The University determines itself its teaching and scientific policy under its contractual engagement and regulation. The University is a multidisciplinary institution that offers courses in management, health, law, economy, pharmacy, odontology and many others. The University strives to provide high quality teaching and research to its students. Furthermore, the University is in partnership with various universities around the world in order to give the student the opportunity to study abroad in 5 different continent under various exchange programs such as Socrates, ERASMUS, TEMPUS, Leonardo, CRPUQ and so on. The University currently has more than 20 463 students, 964 teaching personnel and 711 personnel non-academic.
