Jubail Industrial College

JubailIndustrial College (JIC) has its roots in 1978 when the Royal Commission forJubail and Yanbu established a skills training center to develop skilledmanpower required by the Kingdom. In 1982, the skills training center wasupgraded into an institute named the Royal Commission Jubail Human ResourcesDevelopment Institute. The Manpower Council of the Government of Saudi Arabiaissued a royal decree in 1989 to transform the institute into a full-fledgedengineering and business college, named Jubail Industrial College. This wasestablished to serve the educational and training needs of the newly createdJubail Industrial City and the local and regional community of the EasternProvince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

JIChas become a leading institute for technical education. The college has made,and will continue to make, significant contribution to the economic well being of the kingdom. It is reaping the rewards of significant investments in itswide infrastructure and human resources. The college has taken advantage of its special location to forge linkswith industry and businesses and actively participate in efforts to promoteeconomic and social development in the region. Its quality programs, qualifiedstaff, and state-of-the art training facilities have enabled it to build on itsreputation and to diversify and strengthen its contribution to the community.
