Samara State Medical University

Samara State Medical University has a century-old history. In 2019, the University celebrated its 100th anniversary. These days SamSMU is one of the largest medical universities in Russia, which trains medical specialists, pharmacists, psychologists.

The mission of SamSMU is to train the high-level professionals in medicine, drawing on the best practice of the local and international education and science. The scientific and innovation activities of the University go beyond the theoretical and experimental limits and result in the new innovative products for serial production.

The Samara State Medical University comprises of 10 Faculties and 80 Departments, the Clinics with 1015 in-patient beds, the Dental Institute, the Nursing Institute,  the Institute of Postgraduate Education, the Institute for Innovation Development, the Institute for Preventive Medicine, the breakthrough research center "IT in Medicine", the research and educational Center for Evidence-Based Medicine, the Center for IT in Education,  the research and production technopark.
