University of Rzeszów

In 2019 University of Rzeszów has undergone a thorough reorganization. The merger of the former faculties resulted in establishing of four colleges: College of Natural Sciences, College of Humanities, College of Medical Sciences and College of Social Sciences. There are 22 institutes and 14 other scientific or didactic units within the colleges (including various research centers, the University's Archeological Material Depot, Polonia Center, Medical Simulation Center, University Athletic Center etc.). Last year approximately 6000 new students were admitted to 102 Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. Our institutes represent 20 scientific disciplines (archaeology, economics and finance, philosophy, history, information and communication technology, materials engineering, linguistics, literary studies, mathematics, biological sciences, physical sciences, medical sciences, physical culture science, political and administrative sciences, health sciences, law, sociology, educational sciences, agriculture and horticulture, food and nutrition technology) and 2 artistic disciplines (music, fine arts and art conservation). As a result of the recent evaluation of the quality of scientific activities, which took place in Poland in 2022, University of Rzeszów gained the right to confer postdoctoral degrees (Associate Professor – doktor habilitowany) and PhD in all 22 evaluated disciplines.
