About Khulna University of Engineering and Technology
Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is one of the leading public universities in Bangladesh giving special emphasis on engineering and technological education and research. KUET is well known for offering high-quality educational, research, and developmental programs in the major disciplines of engineering as well as basic sciences. It has a sober objective to achieve excellence in quality education, research, and progression to address the present needs of the country as well as the South-Western region to make it the "Center of Excellence". KUET offers engineering education at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels, and also offers degrees and conducts research in basic sciences at the post-graduate level. At present, around 8957 undergraduate and postgraduate students are studying in KUETs in 17 academic departmentsout of 20 academic departments under 3 Faculties. For the academic session (2022-2023), a total of 1065 top-graded students of the country were enrolled at the undergraduate level through very competitive, transparent, and standard admission test. Besides, high-quality postgraduate study and research in M.Sc. Engineering, M.Sc., M.Phil, and Ph.D. Programs are also running in its nourished environment. Students from foreign countries are also studying at this prestigious university. More than 422 eminent, scholarly, and diverse faculties are engaged in teaching and research at this university in various disciplines.

The student should pass the Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) examination in the same year of admission with a Grade Point of 5.00 (Out of 5.00) in each of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects and at least a Grade Point of 4.00 (Out of 5.00) in English in H.S.C/Alim/Equivalent examination from any Board of Bangladesh. Students of English Version or Foreign Board must have an equal Grade Point in those subjects. If a student wants to get admission into the Biomedical Engineering (BME) department, he must possess a Grade Point 4.00 (Out of 5.00) in Biology in H.S.C or Equivalent examination. GCE ‘O’ Level and GCE ‘A’ Level passed students must obtain a Grade ‘A’ in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English respectively in GCE ‘O’ Level. They must obtain a Grade ‘A’ in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry respectively in GCE ‘A’ Level. If a student wants to get admission into the BME department, he must obtain a minimum Grade Point ‘B’ in Biology. A student who passed the H.S.C/equivalent certificate in 2021 from a Foreign Institute with 12 years of schooling must have at least 80% marks or Equivalent Grade Points in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry respectively, and 70% marks or Equivalent Grade Points in English. In S.S.C., he/she must have a minimum of 70% marks or Equivalent Grade Points. If a student wants to get admission into the Architecture department, he must pass the Free-hand Drawing examination separately.
