Financing Your Masters

Studying at Vlerick is a major investment, but multiple financing options are available. Applications for our Masters programmes are processed on a rolling basis from October for the following September intake. To be considered for a full scholarship, candidates must submit both their programme and scholarship applications before February.

Scholarship Opportunities

Academic Excellence

  • Academic Merit Scholarship – Rewards excellent academic performance.

    • Belgian degrees: “great” or “greatest distinction” at Bachelor level

    • Non-Belgian degrees: Average score above 80%

    • Strong GMAT (>700/655 Focus) or GRE (>164 quantitative, >163 verbal)

    • Available for specialised programmes only

    • Covers up to 50% of tuition

Diversity & Equality

  • European Scholarship – Supports European candidates (excluding Belgian citizens).

    • Open to all Masters programmes

    • Covers up to 50% of tuition

  • Women Scholarships – Encourages women in underrepresented fields.

    • Types:

      • Women in Finance (Masters in Financial Management)

      • Women Entrepreneur (Masters in Innovation & Entrepreneurship)

      • Women in Analytics (Masters in Business Analytics & AI)

    • Covers up to 50% of tuition

  • Science Talent Scholarship – Supports students with STEM backgrounds entering management.

    • For Masters in Financial Management and Masters in International Management & Strategy

    • Covers up to 50% of tuition

  • Equal Opportunity Scholarship – Promotes social diversity and inclusion.

    • For students from underrepresented groups or those engaged in diversity initiatives

    • Open to all Masters programmes

    • Covers up to 50% of tuition, with one full scholarship sponsored by alumnus Jan Toye (eligible applicants automatically considered)

Need-based

  • Financial Need Scholarship – Supports students with proven financial constraints.

    • Requires a realistic financial plan and evidence of need (e.g., previous grants)

    • Can be combined with other scholarships

    • Open to all Masters programmes

    • Amount decided on a case-by-case basis
