Internships are unpaid positions lasting from 3 to 5 months; most are in mid-sized firms in the growing high-tech environment of Orange County, as well as in the greater Los Angeles area. Students are eligible for the internship after the successful completions of an ACP program, attendance at all required meetings and workshops, and good academic standing. Through an internship, students obtain valuable business experience, improve their communication skills, and gain the abilities needed to implement new ideas and concepts in their home countries. OPT allows students to gain a maximum of 12 months of paid practical work experience off campus, while expanding and enhancing their business experience anywhere in the U.S. Students are eligible for OPT after 9 months of consecutive full-time study in one or more certificate programs.
