Policing is changing - adapting and evolving to meet the needs and requirements of today and tomorrows' society. At the University of East London, we are developing a suite of qualifications for those already in policing or those wishing to join through our Centre of Professional Policing (the CoPP). This course is for existing police officers with over three years of service (and out of their probation), and for those who have recently retired. It is a top-up final year, which recognises existing officers’ training, knowledge, skills abilities and practice, leading to a BSc (Hons) Policing Studies degree. You’ll be taught by practitioners and world-renowned experts and advisers in policing and adjoining subject areas who are regularly called upon to provide opinion, skilled analysis, comment and advice to government, the media and other bodies.
