The University of Winnipeg’s language courses provide up-to-date, effective instruction for beginners as well as intermediate to advanced students. These courses will enrich your education, and many can be used to fulfill the University’s Distribution and Humanities Requirements (for details see under “Degree and Major Requirements” in the Academic Calendar). Students from any degree program may choose to study a language as a part of their university studies. The courses may be especially relevant if you have an interest in language learning for the purposes of cultural exposure, international travel and/or work, or more specialized study in a particular field such as History, Religion, or Philosophy. In all of the courses, you will gain knowledge and competence in oral and written skills while learning to appreciate the richness and diversity of culture.
