About Clark University - Graduate School of Management

The School of Management (SOM) at Clark University launched in 1982 in response to the demand for high-quality scholarship in business and management. Over the last quarter century, SOM has experienced outstanding growth, and continues to embody its mission to develop a diverse community of learners, researchers, and business professionals that prepares future leaders to think critically, manage collaboratively, and contribute to their organizations and society.

Accredited by AACSB International, Clark SOM ranks among the most prestigious business schools in the world. Also annually recognized by The Princeton Review as a “best business school,” it offers programs in management, accounting, accounting analytics, human resources/talent management, marketing, marketing analytics, and finance. Many programs can be completed in as little as one year, with part-time options available as well. The MBA program was recently revamped to a shorter, more streamlined program, now requiring just twelve course units. We also offer an undergraduate management major along with minors in management, marketing, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

With its small class sizes, SOM’s environment allows students to engage and get to know their faculty – a connection that is a distinct advantage of studying at Clark SOM. Because of these opportunities and relationships, our alumni keep in touch with their former professors and staff, which results in a far-reaching alumni network for students’ benefit.

SOM’s student body is made up of working professionals, accelerated degree students, full-time students, and dual-degree graduate students. They take part in prestigious national competitions, leadership seminars, and experiential, hands-on learning projects which are part of nearly every course. All students are offered a full program of professional development and networking opportunities through our school’s Stevenish Career Management Center, which is dedicated solely to assisting our School of Management Students. SOM graduates move on to work at world-renowned companies such as the World Bank, Ernst & Young, and PwC, and other Fortune 500 companies.

Clark SOM is situated in an ideal east coast location. Living and studying in Worcester, Massachusetts – the 2nd largest city in New England – offers an exceptional quality of life at an affordable price. The cities of Boston and Providence are one hour away, and New York City is three hours by car. Bus, train, taxi, and ride sharing services are available throughout Worcester.
