About Saba University School of Medicine

Saba University School of Medicine was founded in 1992 with one main mission: to establish an international alternative to U.S. and Canadian medical schools that would provide an excellent medical education and expansive career opportunities.  With more than 3,000+ Saba graduates now practicing medicine across the U.S. and Canada, their ongoing success has helped cement Saba’s reputation as a leading medical school.
The faculty at SABA University School of Medicine all have an advanced medical and/or doctoral degree  and they enjoy playing a key role in Saba graduates’ success in securing residencies. Devoted to their student’s success, Saba faculty teach a systems-based curriculum that combines greater integration between case-based learning and clinical skills development. The university offers a 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio, meaning more focused attention from professors and an overall personalised teaching experience.
Saba ’s success is on par with U.S. medical schools. Between 2015 and 2019, the first time USMLE step 1 pass rate averaged 99% - a consistently strong performance and from 2013 to 2018 94% of eligible Saba graduates attained a residency.  The university’ s state-of-the-art campus is located on Saba, a small, quiet, and extremely safe Caribbean Island with something for everyone to enjoy. The island is a perfect place to study
