Admission Test
The UPB uses the Academic Aptitude Test (PAA) developed by the College Board, as an entrance exam. This test assesses the skills necessary for higher studies and allows predicting academic performance at university.
Its evaluation areas are:
- Verbal reasoning
- Mathematical reasoning
- Indirect Writing
- The admission of the applicant will depend on the result obtained with the sum of scores from two of the three areas evaluated, depending on the chosen career.
Pre-University Courses - PREUPB
The main objective of the pre-university courses is to reinforce and improve the knowledge of future students in certain subjects, depending on the entrance career. The pre-university subjects are:
- Math
- Physical
- Chemistry
- Oral and written expression
- Creativity
These courses also allow the student, through induction processes, to become familiar with the dynamics of university studies, academic programming and their future university life.
English Placement Test - ELASH
The ELASH exam, developed by the College Board and used internationally by prestigious educational institutions in Latin America, makes it possible to measure English language proficiency in Spanish-speaking students.
The result obtained by the student allows the UPB to place them at the corresponding level within their English program.
The skills assessed by ELASH are:
- Auditive comprehension.
- Correct use of language and indirect writing.
- Reading and vocabulary skills.
