This programme aims to train professionals and researchers who, based on mathematical, statistical and financial theories and techniques, are able to identify, understand, analyze, model, control and mitigate the financial effects of various types of risks in organizations, both in the financial and actuarial, as in operational risk management. The program will prepare the student to design and apply actuarial and financial models that respond to a fluctuating and dynamic economic environment, which allow: to provide protection and financial security against losses that affect equity; develop models that quantify the risks that affect any type of institution; design and develop financial instruments that meet market needs.
 
The characteristics of the program are: Flexible curricular design with 35% credits in elective subjects, solid theoretical training, development of skills and competencies for the real solution of practical problems, multidisciplinary approaches that facilitate a comprehensive and deep vision. It is also offered at times that facilitate the study of the program to professionally active people.
