The Doctoral Program in Management prepares students for international research-oriented academic careers or for research positions in international companies or organizations. To do this, it offers a structured doctoral program, both rigorous and relevant, the ambition of which is to lead to an original research thesis of high quality.
Mission
The standard duration of doctoral studies is 36 months for full-time students and double for part-time students. Students will join one of the four areas of excellence which is usually that of their thesis supervisor. During these 36 months, students will write their doctoral thesis, follow two methodological courses and two specialized courses, and defend their doctoral thesis. Within a team of researchers, they will be able to benefit from a dynamic academic environment, attend various series of seminars, present their work at the annual Rennes SB doctoral seminar and obtain financial support to participate in national and international conferences.
150 ECTS are credited by the doctoral thesis and the defense and 30 ECTS are credited through the doctoral courses and all activities related to research (presentation of working papers to the Research Lab, seminars and conferences, publications) and to research activities. 'teaching (the possibility is offered to doctoral students to be employed as Postgraduate Teaching Assistant to help organize courses and tutorials for undergraduate students).

Admission Requirements
- To be eligible you must have obtained merit or distinction in your Master’s level degree in Business, Management or a related discipline (e.g. economics, law) from a reputed university or higher education institution. Applicants from other academic backgrounds must provide written justification for how their previous work or experience has prepared them to join one of the research centres’ specialised research orientations.
- English proficiency required (native speaker, previous degrees taught entirely in English (min. 3 years), or TOEFL >80/IELTS>6.5/TOEIC>800)
- Evidence of ability to support yourself financially for 3 years for self-funded applicants.
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
