Católica Porto Business School

Católica Porto Business School is  a scientific, academic and financially independent School within Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

Its portfolio includes undergraduate, Master’s, MBA, and executive education programmes that have acquired an international dimension. In parallel, since its foundation in 2001, the School significantly strengthened its research and outreach capabilities, becoming recognised as a prestigious School in Portugal and abroad. Consistent with this, the School had its MBA programmes accredited by AMBA in 2013, received EQUIS accreditation in 2016 and had its programmes included under the university-wide AACSB accreditation in 2021. 

The School designed the portfolio of programmes according to clear priorities in its different levels of education: to prepare for employability – to develop expertise – to train for leading roles.

The undergraduate programmes have a wide scope and prepare students for the job market or to pursue their studies at postgraduate level, allowing them to have a solid education in diverse topics. Master’s programmes provide in-depth learning on specific subject areas for pre-experience students. As a specific vehicle for lifelong learning, the MBA provides participants with state-of-the-art knowledge in management and prepares participants for leadership roles and for making a positive impact on society. The programme targets post-experience participants who aim to progress in their careers.

CPBS also offers executive education programmes. The portfolio aims to balance the needs of large organisations and maintain the flexibility to adapt to the reality of SMEs. It includes o pen programmes (which focus on the individual; technical content and ‘know-how’ is combined with the development of transversal skills, promoting the holistic development of participants) and c ustomised programmes (focusing on the reality of the client company).
