Entrepreneurship is not for the faint-hearted. An entrepreneur must plan, start and run their own business from the ground up, with limited resources, and must take on all the risks of the venture. For this reason, a large part of studying entrepreneurship consists of learning from the successes and failures of entrepreneurs in the past, analyzing what mistakes were made at the beginning, and what additional information would have been beneficial. Entrepreneurs must develop their business instincts, learning to identify new goals as they grow and the situation changes, and to identify new opportunities and swiftly analyze how best to take advantage of them. While the risks and effort demanded from an entrepreneur are high, so are the rewards. Entrepreneurs are truly free and autonomous, and their skills in collaboration, creativity and innovation can lead them towards new opportunities as they arise. In a volatile and dynamic world, an entrepreneur will always find new pathways to venture down when paradigms shift.
