About Guizhou Qiannan College of Science and Technology
Guizhou Qiannan College of Science and Technology(GZUCST), formerly known as the College of Science and Technology of Guizhou University, was founded in 2001 as an independent institution. In December 2014, Guizhou University and Guizhou Jetstar Huilv Aviation Flight Attendant Consulting Service Co., Ltd. colaborated to jointly organize the college. In September 2021, with approval from the Ministry of Education, the college became an independent private undergraduate institution of higher education, and was renamed Guizhou Qiannan College of Science and Technology. After relocating three times, the college is now located in Huishui County, Qiannan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province in March 2018, with an area of 796,066 square meters.
The college has won many honorary titles, such as the demonstration site for Party building work in universities directly under Guizhou Province, a “Five Goods” grassroots Party organization in universities directly under Guizhou Province, and the “National Advanced Collective for teaching and research in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan Period”.
In recent years, GZUCST has been further enhanced its educational capacibilities. According to the 2023 ranking by Alumni Association of China’s Private Universities (Class II), it ranked 30th, transiting from a first-class independent college in the region to a high-level applied one in China. The college has achieved significant improvement in student quality, employment outcomes, social reputation and influence.
