The Department of English was established in 2001 and includes four full-time faculty members, in addition to several collaborators from other colleges at the University of Fazzan and the University of Sebha. It also includes a number of teaching assistants, technicians, and administrative staff. The department grants a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in English.

- Libyan Secondary School Certificate (or equivalent)
- Minimum grade average met 70–80%
- National ID card copy
