About A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute (EAGI)

The A.K. Kussayinov Eurasian Humanities Institute (EAGI) is a dynamic higher education institution in Kazakhstan, founded in 1995, recognized for its strong focus on humanities, pedagogy, and applied research. EAGI combines academic tradition with innovation and digital transformation to prepare graduates for professional success in a rapidly changing global environment.

EAGI is actively involved in both internally funded research projects (7 ongoing projects as of January 2025) and state-funded scientific initiatives. A key achievement is the establishment of Kazakhstan’s first Digital Literary Studies Laboratory, where researchers apply big data analytics and artificial intelligence to literary and linguistic studies. The institute’s research strengths include pedagogy and educational sciences, linguistics and philology, jurisprudence, economics and social sciences, and digital humanities.

Innovation and digitalisation are integral to EAGI’s academic culture. Faculty members regularly participate in international professional development programmes and lead initiatives such as the EAGI Winter School, supporting school and university teachers in integrating AI technologies into modern teaching practices.

EAGI offers a student-centred learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The institute collaborates closely with public and private schools, translation agencies, legal firms, and professional organisations, providing students with real-world exposure and strong graduate employability.

Students and researchers benefit from modern academic resources, including EAGI’s own library and access to national and international databases such as the Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Edu-Hub, Springer, and Elsevier.

The institute operates a network of scientific laboratories and is well known for hosting international academic conferences. Research outcomes are published in Vestnik of the Eurasian Humanities Institute, a peer-reviewed scholarly journal officially recognised at the national level.

Through its Educational and Methodological Centre “EAGI-Bilim,” the institute provides language training in Kazakh, Russian, English, German, French, and Chinese, supporting lifelong learning and international engagement.

EAGI is committed to inclusive education. Its dedicated Center for Inclusion supports students with special educational needs through accessible learning environments, inclusive teaching practices, and specialised staff training, ensuring equal educational opportunities for all.

With a highly qualified faculty, strong international and national partnerships, and a clear strategic vision for 2023–2027, EAGI stands out as an institution known for pedagogical excellence, research-driven education, and the preparation of competitive, socially responsible graduates.
