Almazov National Medical Research Centre is a world class research centre that uniquely and harmoniously combines the basic and applied research in various fields with the delivery of diverse specialized medical care, including high-tech, and continuous interdisciplinary training of scientific and medical personnel. Almazov Centre provides basic education under the higher education programme for specialist training in General Medicine, 44 residency programmes, PhD training in clinical medicine, fundamental and biomedical sphere, additional professional education for more than 1,500 professionals annually. The training sites are Centre’s clinic as well as clinical sites of medical research and educational partner institutions and member organizations of the Translational Medicine Cluster. All training is delivered using modern simulation equipment, robots, VR system models. Almazov Centre participates in 14 scientific platforms of the Russian Ministry of Health and its specialists are included in the expert groups in six of these platforms. Besides the State Target Program, last year Almazov Centre performed 21 grants and 99 clinical testing protocols. Almazov Centre actively cooperates with medical research and educational institutions in Russia and abroad. Currently, we have more than 60 agreements with foreign partners. Almazov Centre is a modern multifunctional information centre in medicine. Medical training is delivered at the Centre's Institute of Medical Education. The Centre's mission is training of advanced medical professionals using innovative technologies and modern medical achievements as well as provision of high-tech medical care to maintain and improve the population’s health.
