Admission Requirements

1 . Applicants must be citizens of other countries who are not Chinese nationals, hold valid foreign passports, be in good health, have good conduct, no record of bad behavior, and abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the school.
2、(1) Recent master's graduates whose academic qualifications and degrees are recognized by the education authorities of the People's Republic of China. (At the latest, the master's degree certificate or the "Certificate of Academic Degree and Diploma Authentication for Overseas Education" issued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center must be obtained before the official registration of the admission year.)
(2) Have obtained a master's degree from a renowned university in the People's Republic of China, overseas, or in Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan
3.Chinese-taught majors For humanities and social sciences, a score of 180 or above in the New HSK Level 5 of the Chinese Proficiency Test should be achieved. Those who have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree from a Chinese university and whose teaching language is Chinese do not need to provide an HSK score report.
Those whose Chinese proficiency does not meet the above requirements need to take Chinese remedial courses at the Chinese Language College of our university for 1 to 2 years.
4.Doctoral degrees do not accept applications from applicants with equivalent academic qualifications.
5.The applicant's academic performance, academic level, language proficiency and other conditions must meet the admission requirements of the applied major.
6. Special reminder: Postgraduate students are not allowed to pursue two or more academic levels of majors simultaneously or two majors at the same level. Once discovered, their application or admission qualifications will be cancelled.

Jinan University implements an "application and review system" for recruiting foreign postgraduate students to study in China. That is, applicants fill in information online and upload the application materials required by the university. After successful application, those whose materials pass the review can directly participate in the professional re-examination. The university will select and admit the best candidates, with no limit on the number of admissions.
The application materials that applicants need to submit online include the following:
1. Passport (valid for the period of stay)
2. Highest degree certificate, graduation certificate and notarized copies
3. Original or notarized copies of the academic transcript from the graduation institution
4. Language proficiency test certificates
5. Two recommendation letters from scholars with associate senior or higher professional titles related to the field
6. Full text of the master's thesis (for previous students) and abstract of the thesis (for current students)
7. Research achievements
8. Financial proof-related documents
9. ID photo
10. Application fee of 500 yuan
There are two application and admission opportunities each year. They are respectively：（1）The online registration period for spring enrollment is from November to December each year (such as,November 12 - December 12, 2025), and the spring enrollment period is in March of the following year (such as,March 2026).（2）The online registration period for the autumn intake is from late January to late April of the following year (such as,January 22 - April 22, 2026), and the autumn intake period is September of the following year (such as,September 2026).
