Admission Requirements

60+

1.Applicants must be citizens of other countries who are not Chinese nationals, hold valid foreign passports, be in good health, have good conduct, no record of bad behavior, and abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the school.

2. Undergraduate graduates of the current year whose academic qualifications and degrees are recognized by the education authorities of the People's Republic of China. (At the latest, the bachelor's degree certificate or the "Certificate of Academic Degree and Diploma Authentication for Overseas Education" issued by the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center must be obtained before the official registration of the admission year.)   Have obtained a bachelor's degree certificate or diploma from a renowned university in the People's Republic of China, overseas, or in Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan. For non-graduating students who have not yet obtained a bachelor's degree certificate or a bachelor's degree at the time of application, if they apply as an equivalent academic qualification, they must have at least two years of work experience after obtaining a college or junior college degree or an equivalent degree (from the date of graduation to March 1 (spring)/September 1 (autumn) of the year of admission).

3. For humanities and social sciences, a score of 180 or above in the New HSK Level 5 of the Chinese Proficiency Test should be achieved. Those who have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree from a Chinese university and whose teaching language is Chinese do not need to provide an HSK score report.

Those whose Chinese proficiency does not meet the above requirements need to take Chinese remedial courses at the Chinese Language College of our university for 1 to 2 years.

4. Persons who have graduated from a university with a bachelor's degree and have more than 3 years of work experience;

Or those who have obtained a recognized college or junior college degree or have completed a bachelor's degree program, have reached the academic level equivalent to that of a bachelor's degree graduate, and have more than 5 years of work experience;

Or those who have obtained a master's or doctoral degree and have at least two years of work experience.

5.   The applicant's academic performance, academic level, language proficiency and other conditions must meet the admission requirements of the applied major.

6. Special reminder: Postgraduate students are not allowed to pursue two or more academic levels of majors simultaneously or two majors at the same level. Once discovered, their application or admission qualifications will be cancelled.

Jinan University implements an "application and review system" for recruiting foreign postgraduate students to study in China. There are two application and admission opportunities each year. They are respectively:(1)The online registration period for spring enrollment is from November to December each year (such as,November 12 - December 12, 2025), and the spring enrollment period is in March of the following year (such as,March 2026).(2)The online registration period for the autumn intake is from late January to late April of the following year (such as,January 22 - April 22, 2026), and the autumn intake period is September of the following year (such as,September 2026).
