Istanbul Gelisim University

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) is a foundation university in Istanbul, Turkey. It is a young university, having been established in 2008. The university comprises one institute, the Institute of Graduate Studies, and seven faculties: Engineering and Architecture, Applied Sciences, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, Dentistry and Sport Sciences; 1 school, which are Foreign Languages; and two vocational schools: Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School and Vocational School of Health Services.

The university offers a wide range of academic programmes, including 101 undergraduate programmes, 51 associate degree programmes, 76 graduate programmes with or without a thesis, and 10 PhD programmes. The university's international student body, over 38,000, hails from more than 103 countries worldwide, reflecting its global reach.IGU's internationalisation efforts are further bolstered by its extensive network of over 100 partner universities across the globe, facilitating student mobility through prestigious programmes such as Erasmus+. A wide range of services is available to students, including the Career Development Center and Counselling Service. Sports facilities on campus include basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, as well as an indoor gymnasium.
