The American Friends of Heriot-Watt Biomedical Engineering Scholarship Award is designed to attract the most talented and ambitious international students to study MSc Biomedical Engineering programme. This competitive scholarship aims to recognise one student who combines academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for advancing global healthcare through innovation. The scholarship will fully fund the tuition fees (worth £39,200) for one international student coming to study the MSc in Biomedical Engineering, a joint programme between the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University beginning in September 2026. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their academic excellence, financial need and ambitions post-graduation of what they want to achieve in the industry after completing their degree. Please be aware that a condition of the scholarship is that you will produce an end-of-year report for the donors as well as taking part in marketing efforts for the 2027 cohort of the programme.
