Agricultural University of Tirana

Offering education in a wide range of agricultural fields - including agronomy, forestry, ecology and agribusiness - the Agricultural University of Tirana was initially established in 1951 and is one of Albania's top specialized universities. An academic staff of approximately 480 members provide education to over 14,000 students across all levels of study.

The city of Tirana is the capital of Albania and the country's largest city. The most important economic, financial, political and trade center in the country, Tirana has lots to offer students and is also surrounded by some fantastic natural scenery. The Dajti National Park and Mali me Gropa-Bizë-Martanesh Protected Landscape are both protected areas, and it's not uncommon for the mountains near the city to be covered with snow in winter, making them a popular retreat for city dwellers. The forests also contain many canyons, waterfalls, caves and lakes, making them a fascinating place to explore and get views of the city from the mountaintop.
