About Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University
Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University (ABKRU) was established in 1939 and thus belongs to one of the oldest higher education institutions in Kazakhstan.
It is located in the city of Kostanay, in the northern part of Kazakhstan.
KRU is the largest multidisciplinary university in Kostanay region. The main areas of training are education, engineering, agricultural, social and humanitarian. Elements of remote technologies have been introduced into all programs.
As a member of the European Higher Education Area and a participant in the Bologna Agreement, the University fully accepts the Bologna Principles, supports academic mobility of staff and students, recognizing credit mobility and the European Credit Transfer System. Cooperation with domestic and international partner universities is an integral part of the KRU ecosystem.
