Isra University is a Jordanian higher education institution located on Queen Alia International Airport Highway, Amman. Isra university mission is to provide pioneer academic programs, high quality of education to students and to serve them in its role as a center for the advancement, sharing, and use of knowledge, also, to contribute to achieving the aspirations of society through the application of international standards of excellence in academic programs and the development of students, fosters shared values, moral principles, and dedication to serving the common good.

Isra University was established in 1991 in compliance with the decree (357) of the Jordanian Higher Education Council in 1989. It received its first batch of students at the beginning of the academic year 1991/1992. Since then, the University has sought to be an active partner in the national and regional efforts to enhance the quality of university education and provide a university environment that promotes students’ freedom, creativity and attracts qualified students from Jordan, neighboring, and foreign countries.

At Isra University, we are devoted to providing our students with a high-quality education in all programs offered by the University. The University is also dedicated to preparing a generation of young people who can take responsibility for the challenges that the community may face through what the University offers from indoor and outdoor activities. The University always endeavors to attain distinction and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation in quality teaching, originality of research work, and community services. The University takes upon itself to provide the job market and stakeholders with well-informed and well-trained graduates who are expected to excel in their professions and meet the demands and requirements desired by interested parties.

Isra University is determined to be unique in promoting scientific, critical, and creative thinking. It actively pursues excellence through a combination of theoretical and practice-based teaching. To achieve this, the study plans are meticulously designed to meet the demands and challenges of the market, alongside the development of teaching methods that align with the skills required for upcoming generations. In support of this commitment, all faculties have successfully attained Quality Assurance certificates from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions in Jordan, demonstrating the University’s dedication to maintaining high educational standards. Additionally, three programs attained international accreditation (pharmacy, nursing, and physiotherapy), and the university achieved the ISO 21001-2018 certification.

Further, the University enhances pluralism and civilized thinking, fostering cultural integration and disseminating a culture of understanding and tolerance. At the same time, it denounces all forms of violence, fanaticism, and prejudice. Since its inception, the University has provided the local and Arab community with highly qualified graduates, nurtured and taught by distinguished faculty members who have earned graduate degrees from various local, regional, and international universities. This commitment to quality education and values underscores our mission to develop responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

Isra University is constantly growing and plans to expand its campus facilities to pursue a sustainable future, meet international standards, and increase the number of programs offered. Currently, the areas of the buildings exceed 80,000 square meters, complemented by a large expanse of terraces, green areas, and both indoor and outdoor sports fields. This expansion reflects our commitment to providing a holistic educational environment that fosters academic excellence while prioritizing sustainability and community well-being.

Isra University actively contributes to various initiatives that align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At Isra, we work to promote sustainable practices across various departments and collaborate with stakeholders to implement projects aimed at reducing our environmental footprint. By fostering awareness and providing resources for sustainable practices, we help create a culture of sustainability within the campus community.
