Astana International University

Astana International University (AIU) was established in 2018 and is designed to follow the traditions of classical university education and the principles of academic freedom. AIU prioritizes enhancing its internal quality system for delivering educational services. In June 2019, the university passed the procedure of primary institutional accreditation at the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA). On July 27, 2022 AIU was named among TOP-10 national universities according to the results of the IQAA-RANKING, placed 8th in the institutional assessment of national universities. The university has established and effectively manages a scientific and innovative infrastructure, encompassing 7 research institutes and 6 centers. In accordance with the state license, the university implements 43 EPs of higher education in 16 fields of education in seven knowledge areas for bachelors. At the master's level, training is carried out in 39 EPs from 10 fields of education and 6 knowledge areas. Doctoral students are trained in 13 EPs from 6 fields of education and 5 knowledge areas. The university's mission encapsulates a commitment to providing a range of reliable and objective services across the educational, expert, and research domains. AIU aims to cater to the educational needs of citizens in Kazakhstan and the broader Eurasian region.
