Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is a public higher education institution in Greece which provides education in the fields of Economics, European and International Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Management, Technology, Informatics, Statistics and Decision Science. Since 1920, when the AUEB was founded, it contributes substantially to both the education of the youth of the country and the science as well. Thousands of its graduates are now high ranking administrative and financial executives in the public and private sectors of the economy, including ministers, general secretaries of government, faculty members in Greek and foreign universities, and members of international organizations.

With its three Schools, the School of Economics, the School of Business and the School of Information Sciences and Technology, AUEB is the top university in Greece, and one of the best universities internationally in the fields of science that it covers, with eight (8) Undergraduate Departments that are ranked in the highest positions among the preferences of prospective students, with thirty (30) exceptionally popular full and part-time Postgraduate Programs and with the Doctoral Programs as well.

Building upon its long-standing academic excellence and international orientation, AUEB offers an English-taught Bachelor in International Business and Technology, an innovative undergraduate programme designed to respond to the evolving demands of the global economy. With more than 100 years of impactful tradition, AUEB hosts a vibrant academic community of over 13,000 students and more than 75,000 graduates active worldwide. The programme’s interdisciplinary structure enables students to explore the rapidly changing landscapes of global business, international management, and disruptive technological applications. Graduates acquire a strong foundation in business fundamentals, including strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, cross-cultural communication, negotiations, and business modelling, while also developing essential competencies in state-of-the-art business technologies such as cybersecurity, digital marketing and social media, distributed ledger technologies, artificial intelligence, and mobile and web application development.

The main aim of the University is not only to provide its students with a sound command of theoretical principles and modern analytical tools, but also to develop in them certain qualities, such as individual initiative and critical thinking, which are necessary in order to resume a leading role in today’s rapidly changing world. To this end, a well-balanced curriculum in the various scientific fields mentioned earlier, a computer center, a library and an academic staff of high quality are contributing. Research, both theoretical and applied, has always been considered as one of the University's most important goals.
