About Audisankara (Deemed to be University)
Audisankara (Deemed to be University) is a private, not-for-profit institution at Gudur in SPSR Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It has been declared a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, and is recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the same Act.
The university grew out of the Audisankara Group of Institutions, established under the leadership of Dr. Vanki Penchalaiah with the aim of making quality higher education available in a largely rural district, irrespective of a student's background, creed or gender. The group's first institution, Sri Prasuna College of Law, opened in 1998, and Audisankara College of Engineering & Technology (ASCET) followed in 2001 with an intake of 180 students. Over the following two decades the campus grew into a community of more than 10,000 learners. ASCET was the first institution in its region to be granted autonomous status, holds NAAC accreditation at the 'A+' grade together with NBA programme accreditation, and was previously affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapuramu with AICTE approval.
Teaching is organised into four schools: the School of Engineering & Technology, the School of Commerce & Management Studies, the School of Computer Applications and the School of Sciences. Between them they offer bachelor's, master's, MBA and doctoral programmes in engineering, computing, artificial intelligence and data science, commerce and management, mathematics and the sciences, design and hotel management.
The campus extends over 25.90 acres and is fully Wi-Fi enabled with complete power backup. Facilities include discipline-specific laboratories that receive fresh investment in instrumentation every year, industry-sponsored laboratories for competitive programming and for electric-vehicle technology, a CISCO Networking Academy, a state-of-the-art language laboratory, a library holding 95,481 volumes with 168 national and 98 international journals plus IEEE/IEL online access through the AICTE-INDEST consortium, a 24-hour 1,000 MBPS internet centre, the 1,000-seat K.V.T Seminar Hall, hostel accommodation, a gymnasium and extensive playing fields, and a fleet of daily buses linking the campus with the surrounding towns.
Beyond the classroom, an Atal Community Innovation Centre supports student innovation, entrepreneurship and industry collaboration, while a DSIR, Government of India sponsored Technology Delivery Centre project, Jawahar Knowledge Centre Star Institution status, TCS accreditation, CII membership and a NASSCOM partnership connect students with employers. A Training & Placement Cell and a Career Development Cell prepare students for campus recruitment and for postgraduate study, with additional coaching available for GATE, GRE, TOEFL and the civil services examinations. Each year the university reserves 10% of its management seats, free of tuition for the whole course, for meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families.

Cost of Living
Audisankara is located at Gudur in SPSR Nellore District, a town in coastal Andhra Pradesh where everyday living costs are lower than in India's larger metropolitan cities.
Hostel accommodation is available on campus, including separate, well-managed hostels for women, together with a catering service using modern kitchen equipment and a mineral water plant with a capacity of 1,000 litres per hour supplying clean drinking water. Students who live off campus travel on the university's own fleet of daily buses, which connect the campus with Gudur, Nellore, Sullurpet, Naidupet, Vidyanagar, Kovur, Venkatagiri, Rapur and Podalakur, so private transport is rarely necessary.
Campus Wi-Fi, the 24-hour internet centre, the library, the laboratories, the gymnasium and the playing fields are all available to enrolled students, which keeps additional day-to-day spending modest. Each year 10% of management seats are allocated, with no tuition fee for the entire duration of the course, to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
