About Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University
Our university, being the second oldest university, has been operating since 1921. Through various scientific measures, our primary mission is to educate, conduct research, and contribute to advancing society's technological, socioeconomic, and cultural levels. As part of our vision, we intend to conduct research and teacher training that meets international standards in vocational education, specialities, and innovations.
Our university has eight faculties, over 33 departments, and over 70 specialities. We have over 700 academic staff member, 18,300 students with some international students among them and over 170,000 alumni . We offer bachelor's, sub-bachelor's, master's, and doctoral-level education.
Furthermore, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University is the only university in Azerbaijan with a university network, which includes four education buildings in Baku and five branches in other region of country. In 2022 and 2023, ASPU was one of the six higher education institutions that filled their admission plan according to the results of student admission.
