About Badr University in Cairo
The sole mission behind BUC was to create an educational institute aims to serve the Egyptian middle class with
highest educational quality at an affordable cost. In 2013 BUC was established, to become the largest private
university in Egypt and the fastest growing to offer various programs and degrees that are accredited by the
Egyptian Supreme Council. BUC encompasses sixteen schools (Pharmacy, Medicine, Engineering & Technology,
Dentistry, Physical Therapy, Linguistics & Translation, Nursing, Business & Economics, Performing Arts &
Theater, Applied Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology, School of Applied Medical Sciences, School of Law,
School of Political Sciences, and School of Humanities & Social Sciences). Furthermore, BUC Science Academy
has been recently established aiming to be internationally leading and impactful through a cutting-edge
interdisciplinary research that can provide solutions to global challenges related to health, science and
humanities. Research and innovation at BUC will define frontiers of science and knowledge, and will have an
impact on the society through a Technology, Innovation, and Commercialization Office (TICO) that supports
transformative knowledge and research. Partnership between BUC and multiple global organizations is growing
enormously to improve quality of education and research offered at BUC.
The mission:
1- Create an academic institute that would provide students with high quality education at an affordable cost, so
we can give back to society our graduates: a highly educated middle class Egyptians.
2- Provide our students with state of the art curriculums, labs, workshops, art studios and many facilities in parallel with top talented professors.
3- Ensure that education at BUC includes hands on experience through market linkage and access to local industries.
4- Ensure that BUC graduates have strong skills to match employment needs.
