Caspian University

Caspian University is an Institution which meets the needs of different groups of stakeholders in the field of delivering higher educational programs, business education programs, technical and expert assistance for the design and delivery of professional development programs in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The University was established in 1992 as a non-profit Educational Institution. During the following 30 years of existence the University has undergone several reorganizations and rebranding activities. The university is an established three – level educational system that allows students to get up-to-date knowledge and practical skills via higher educational programs on bachelor, master and PhD. There are around 4,6 thousand students and listeners in 8 Higher Schools: 

·          School of Economics & Management (Specialties: Finance, Accounting, Economics; Management; Marketing);

·          Engineering School (Specialties: Geology & Exploration; Oil&Gas Engineering; Mining; Petroleum Engineering; Software Engineering; Environment and Safety Protection);

·          School of Humanities (Specialties: Interpreting; Psychology);

·          Institute of Architecture, Design and Construction;

·          School of Law “Adilet” (Specialties: Private Law, Public Law, Justice and Law enforcement; Chinese Law);

·          International School of Medicine (Specialty: Medical Practice);

·          Caspian Business School (MBA, EMBA, Pre MBA);

·          School of Arts (Specialties: Acting; Vocal)

Caspian University is:

ü   Institutionally accredited by IQAA- Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency

ü   A place of exchanges between education representatives and teachers from around the world on current educational issues;

ü   Internationally accredited for three levels (baccalaureate, master and doctorate) of educational programs in Finance and Law by AQUIN – German International Accreditation of HEI Agency;

ü   Institutionally accredited by the Ministry of Science and Higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a research organization since August, 2023;

ü   Takes 3^rd place in national Ranking hold by Kazakhstani Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”;

ü   Caspian University, under the support of NURBANK JSC, is implementing the “Start in Life” project, within the framework of which annually at least 20 applicants orphans from orphanages are enrolled on educational programs in CU, as part of corporate social responsibility policy.

      Research Institutes:

·          Sivers International Apple Preservation Foundation , created in 2018. Conducts research and organize activities to consolidates efforts to preserve the Sivers apple (Malus sieversii), on the territory of Tien Shan mountains, the main range of the Sivers wild apple, its maximum genetic diversity, maintaining in a stable natural state, finding ways to preserve and rational use of unique genetic resources for all mankind.

       Caspian University in numbers:

Academic staff consists of 350 professionals including 70% of doctors of sciences, and 30% Master degree holders and business experts.

Students: bachelors- 4 500; master students – 100; PhD students – 10. Among the total number of students there are- 400 international students.

Educational programs : bachelor educational programs – 25; master educational programs – 10; PhD – 3 educational programs.

Infrastructure: 3 campuses; 2 student dormitories.
