About Cedar Crest College

Despite being a women’s liberal arts college, Cedar Crest College does offer some study options for male students. Any degree can be studied by a man at Cedar Crest College, albeit they are only offered through evening and weekend study. The exception is for degrees in nursing and nuclear medicine, which can also be studied during the daytime. In total, more than 50 academic majors are offered by the college across the arts and sciences.

The college’s 84-acre campus is well provisioned for the needs of today’s students. Notable features include the Donald P. Miller Family Building for Art, Science and Peace and the William F. Curtis Arboretum. The college also has a set of historic ‘wishing steps’ - campus legend says that if a student and her date counted the same number of steps while walking down the steps to the park and wished for a proposal, her wish would come true if sealed with a kiss.

Other notable traditions at Cedar Crest College include the Big Sis/Little Sis program designed to help first-year students settle in, and the Strawberry Festival which is held on the front lawn of the President’s home to welcome incoming students.
