Celal Bayar Üniversitesi

Celal Bayar University (CBU) is a non profit and nongovernmental organization located in Manisa, a beautiful historical city in the Aegean part of Turkey. The university offers over 60 degree programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. More than 2779 people are involved in running our organisation (among them administrative staff: 1171, academic staff: 1553, foreigners working on agreement: 55). The aim of the university with its 42 thousand students (among them 475 are foreign students from 48 countries - 2014) is to support student exchange programmes and thus to be able to provide the opportunity of having two diplomas. Our institution is striving to meet the highest standards in all areas of education and research taking into account the increasing globalisation and the educational expectations of modern society. Taking internationalisation for our natural mission, we provide a wide range of international Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes, subject-related foreign language courses and elective subjects dealing with international and intercultural topics. Furthermore, the Celal Bayar University supports world educational programmes, promotes mobility, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue. The university is involved in the Bologna process and develops the European format of higher education. With its academic departments, lecturers, physical capacity and with its cultural and sports opportunities.
