Changchun University of Science and Technology

The management discipline at Changchun University of Science and Technology was established in 1980. It stands as one of the earliest institutions in China's ordnance industry dedicated to nurturing high-level enterprise management professionals. The Department of Management Engineering was founded in 1982, renamed the Branch School of Economics and Trade in 1996, and reorganized into the Branch School of Economics, Law and Management in 1998. It was officially designated as the School of Economics and Management in 2002.
 

Adhering to the development strategy of "Building the College with Disciplines, Strengthening the College with Talents, Prospering the College with Internationalization, Thriving the College with Scientific Research, and Governing the College with Culture", the School is rooted in the university's "Distinctive Discipline System of Optoelectronics". It pursues an innovation-driven and connotative development path, upholds the educational philosophy of "Technology-Embedded Business Education", and cultivates interdisciplinary elite business talents.
 

The School prides itself on a distinguished faculty with profound academic attainments and noble professional ethics, who are dedicated to nurturing students and pursuing academic excellence. Currently, the School has 81 faculty and staff members. Among the 63 full-time teachers, there are 14 professors, 31 associate professors, and 44 teachers with doctoral degrees. The faculty includes 1 recipient of the State Council Special Allowance, 1 Changbai Mountain Leading Talent of Jilin Province, 1 Jilin Province Expert with Outstanding Contributions, 2 Jilin Province Top Innovative Talents, 1 Jilin Province Distinguished Teacher, 1 Class B, 7 Class D, and 12 Class E talents in Jilin Province Talent Evaluation, 1 Chairman, 1 Secretary-General, and 3 Members of Jilin Provincial Undergraduate Teaching Steering Committee, 2 Experts of Jilin Provincial Academic Degree Evaluation Committee, and 1 Expert of Jilin Provincial Professional Degree Evaluation.

 

The School offers education at two levels: postgraduate and undergraduate. It is authorized to confer master's degrees in two first-level disciplines: Applied Economics and Business Management, and professional master's degrees in Master of Business Administration (MBA). The School provides five undergraduate programs: Financial Engineering, International Economics and Trade, Accounting, Business Administration, and Information Management and Information System.
 

The School integrates superior resources for scientific research and talent cultivation by relying on key research bases such as the China Industrial Culture Research Center (a key research base of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), the Jilin Provincial Research Base for the Development of New Quality Productivity Forces (a humanities and social sciences research base of Jilin Province), the Jilin Provincial Research Center for Enterprise Economics (a humanities and social sciences research base of the Department of Education of Jilin Province), and the Research Center for Science & Technology Innovation and Regional Development (a characteristic new-type university think tank of the Department of Education of Jilin Province). Leveraging platforms such as the Senior Enterprise Executives Training and Development Center and the "Talk on Business and Taoism – Entrepreneur Think Tank Alliance", the School exerts the power of high-end think tanks to serve local enterprises and industrial development, playing a vital role in the construction of "Low-carbon Jilin", "Digital Jilin", and "Jilin Section of the Silk Road Economic Belt".
