Chitkara University

Chitkara University was established in the year 2010, by the Punjab State Legislature under "The Chitkara University Act 2010". It is a government-recognised university with the right to confer degrees as per the Sections 2(f) and 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956.

Strategic location: The sprawling Campus of the University is located on the Chandigarh – Patiala National Highway NH-07 and is equidistant from five major cities viz. Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Ambala and Patiala. This makes the campus all-weather accessible to students and staff.

Technical University, there had been no capitation fee and since then, the students are being admitted purely on merit. Later, when University status was granted to the Institute in 2010, the same practice continued, and the reputation of the Institute grew over the years.
